Transfer, Withdrawal and Refund Policies

Policies and Procedures


Students may be allowed to transfer from one course to another within FTMSGlobal before commencement of course. The following are the procedures:

Internal Transfer of Course

If a student transfers from one course to another within FTMSGlobal Academy before new course commencement, then the tuition fees are pro-rated and the unutilized fees is transferred to the new course. Student would have to pay miscellaneous charges to get the student pass changed (applicable for STP Holder only) to the new course as well as administrative charges for handling the transfer and insurance.

External Transfer of Course

Transferring to another institution is deemed as a withdrawal from FTMSGlobal Academy. For international students who transfer to another institution, their Student’s Pass will be cancelled. These students will have to submit their Passport together with the Student Pass within 3 working days of the transfer application. Attendance and Results record will be provided to the new school via the ICA SOLAR+ system.

Transfer of Modules / Subjects

Students may be allowed to transfer modules/subjects within FTMSGlobal before commencement of course. The following are the procedures:

  • Students’ Interview
  • Course Withdrawal and Transfer Forms to be completed

The Course Withdrawal and Transfer Forms are available at the Student Services Counter as well as on the Website.

The above will be processed in accordance to the Standard PEI-Student Contract.

Withdrawal from Course and Refunds

FTMSGlobal Academy has in place a withdrawal policy. The policy is stated in the Standard PEI – Student Contract, FTMSGlobal Application Form and Student Handbook. The period and causes for withdrawal are:

  • Cooling-off Period
    Student can withdraw during the cooling-off period of seven (7) working days days after the date of the contract signed subject to the terms and conditions of the Withdrawal Policy.
  • Withdrawal with Cause
    Student can withdraw from the Course by giving written notice if FTMSGlobal breaches any of its obligations under the Standard PEI-Students Contract, page 4-5. Fee will be refunded in accordance with the Standard PEI-Student Contract.
  • Withdrawal Without Cause
    Student who wish to withdraw from the Course for any other reason, shall be subject to the Withdrawal Policy, in brief as follows, less any applicable bank administrative charges properly paid/payable will be in accordance with the Standard PEI-Student Contract.

Refund Conditions

FTMSGlobal will not entertain any request for refund, except if it falls under the following conditions:

  1. Cooling off period: Maximum refund (full amount of fees paid by student)
  2. Rejection of Student Pass by ICA
    If the student pass application is rejected, the course fees paid will be refunded. Application and Administration Fees are not refundable.
  3. Compulsory English Placement Test
    International students are required to take the Compulsory English Placement Test upon arrival in Singapore before the commencement of the course enrolled for. Should the student's English Language Test results not meet the English proficiency requirements, the student will be required to enrol for the required level of Professional Certificate in English. The course fees paid will be applied to the fees applicable for the required level of Professional Certificate in English and the balance of the course fees will be refunded.

Refund table

Refund of course fees with the exception of no. 2 and 3 above would be in accordance with the refund table below:

*The school will ONLY refund equal to the amount paid by student or the “Maximum Refund”.
*The school will not be in any way liable to provide compensation over and above the Maximum Refund amount.

The following are the procedures for any withdrawal/refund application:

  • Students’ Interview
  • Withdrawal form to be completed Fee Protection Scheme execution
  • ICA Cancellation of STP Form (STP Holders only)
  • Refund Form to be completed (if applicable)

Transfer /  Withdrawal Procedures

The transfer/withdrawal procedure is in accordance with Standard PEI-Student Contract.
