Introduction to Foundation in Business Studies
The course has been designed to provide an opportunity for young school leavers who do not have an ‘A’ level or 12 years of basic education. It provides the students with tertiary level education before progressing into the Diploma or Degree programme. The course has modules that would equip individuals with the required knowledge for further study. The modules offered are a combination of Computing and Business subjects that would provide a general perspective before progressing into a specialized academic qualification.
Learning Outcome
Students would have developed a better understanding of the business environment and equip themselves with practical skills to appreciate the use of computers in the Business and Information Technology.

Entry Requirements
- Minimum Age Required: 16 years old
- Partial GCE 'N' or 'O' levels OR
- 10 years of basic education
English Language Requirements
When prior education is not in the English Language medium of instruction any one of the following is required:
- Intermediate Level 2 of Professional Certificate of English awarded by FTMSGlobal Academy or equivalent OR
- IELTS 5. 0/ TOEFL (paper-based) > 500 or TOEFL (computer-based) > 173
- Any other equivalent English qualifications
Exemptions
All exemptions are subject to approval from the examination board and/or the university.
Delivery Methods
Classroom face-to-face lectures, tutorials and lab sessions.
Assessment Methods
Written Examinations and Course Work.

Graduation and Progression
Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded with the Foundation in Business Studies. Graduates can then move on to pursue the Diploma programmes in either Accounting, Business or Computing.
