Introduction
The course has been designed to provide an opportunity for young school leavers who do not have an ‘O’ level or 10 years of basic education. It prepares the students in an early level of tertiary education before progressing into the Foundation in Business Studies programme. The course has modules that would equip individuals with knowledge for the next level. The course covers a combination of Computing and Business subjects that would provide a general perspective before progressing into the Foundation in Business Studies.
Learning Outcome
Students would have gained knowledge on the fundamentals of computing, accounting and business and be able to progress into the Foundation in Business Studies.

Entry Requirements
Minimum Age Required: 15 years old;
GCE ‘N’ Level OR equivalent
English Language Requirements
When prior education is not in the English Language medium of instruction any one of the following is required:
• Intermediate Level 2 of Professional Certificate of English awarded by FTMSGlobal Academy or equivalent OR
• IELTS 5. 0/ TOEFL (paper-based) > 500 or TOEFL (computer-based) > 173
• Any other equivalent English qualifications
Exemptions
All exemptions are subject to approval from the examination board and/or the university.

Graduation and Progression
Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded with the Certificate in Business Information Technology. Graduates can then move on to pursue the Foundation in Business Studies.

Business Fundamentals
The module develops an understanding of the administration of an organisation and the application of basic administrative procedures.
Basic Mathematics
The module develops the basic skills in the collection, processing, presentation and interpretation of simple numeric and statistical data and in their business application.
Information Technology Fundamentals
The module educates students on the various components and functions of the computer system.
Creative Web Page Design and MS Office
The module trains and equips students with MS Office and web page designing skills.
Programming Concepts
This module introduces students to the fundamental concepts and techniques of software programming.
Business Accounting
This module introduces the principles of double-entry bookkeeping and the ability to apply them to cash and credit transactions in a small or medium-sized business.
Career Opportunities
Graduates can seek employment in trainee administrative functions.
