Tsengel Gantumur, from Mongolia, is a big dreamer imagining herself as a successful entrepreneur in the beauty industry in the future. Having been living in Singapore for 2 years, she has been transferred to the ARU UK MBA programme from the ACCA class in order to pursue her dream to start her own business. She is an experienced business professional had been working in the F&B and accounting field for more than 5 years and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Strayer University in Virginia, USA.

Why did you choose to study this Anglia Ruskin University U.K. MBA (ARU UK MBA) programme at FTMSGlobal Academy?

It was from my pure interest in business. I have worked in the accounting field and then realized I wanted to develop a different career in my life. I initially started studying ACCA at FTMSGlobal Academy as my close friend recommended to me. One day I had a chance to have a highly inspiring conversation with the professor K.C Wong and Soumen, the MBA faculty, which transformed my dream of starting my own business into the real plan. Then, I decided to transfer to the MBA programme.

What are the best things about ARU UK MBA?

I am really enjoying the Strategic Financial Analysis module that allows me to obtain a broad knowledge to analyze empirical evidence concerning financial management, risk, and the operation of global capital markets. Also, Organisational Behaviour is an essential topic to me as I plan to start my own business in the future. This course helps me develop the practical skills to deal with the challenges in leading the team as to bring the group project to a success. It emphasizes the role of leadership in composing teams, and importance of motivating employees and creating a healthy working environment in which teams and their members grow in capacity over time.

What are your career plans after graduation?

In the short term, I would definitely want to build my career as a financial manager or senior management analyst to develop my experience in the field. In the long term, I want to set up my own company in Mongolia, and expand the business to Asia.

What advice would you give to those considering studying ARU UK MBA at FTMSGlobal Academy Singapore?

I chose ARU UK MBA at FTMSGlobal Academy because it offers one year programme that helps in saving time to start the career as a senior position. You will also have an opportunity to get to know excellent classmates from the multi-cultural background, who are the professionals in the various industries. Furthermore, I like how the lecturers and office staffs are always willing to pay attention to myself.

Any comments about Singapore?

I love living in Singapore, especially Sentosa as I enjoy the moment lying on the beach and reading books. I also love the hot weather, kind people and high level of security. I often hang out with MBA classmates for drinks or food and they are very friendly.
