[Student Testimonial] Aayush Pandya, Higher Diploma in Computer Science Student

Aayush Pandya is a man who has lived in 3 countries and still has a thirst for exploring new cultures. Currently a student in FTMSGlobal’s Computer Science course, he intends to stamp his mark as a programmer.

“My life belongs in the East. I grew up in a city that is Eastern part of my state in India, then when I moved to England, I lived in the Eastern part of London and now in Singapore, I live in Tanjong Katong which also happens to be in the East.”

Born in Gujarat, India, he moved to East London, United Kingdom when he was 11 and now, he’s been in Singapore for about half a year. One of his biggest struggles is finding vegetarian food here so therefore, he cooks his own food.

“One thing I love about Singapore is the weather, it’s sunny all year round whereas in England, it’s showers, cloudy, showers and snow…the weather there makes you lose your mood to do anything.”

“One difference I’ve noticed between Singapore and London is that in London, if you happen to be lost, you can just find a random old guy sitting nearby and ask him for directions and he will walk with you right to the doorstep of your destination, I’ve yet to encounter that in Singapore so far. All those things they say about Indians getting treated badly by the locals in England is not true. I’ve never encountered any form of racism in England, at least not at the place I was staying at.”b2ap3_thumbnail_aayush2.jpg
